Phil Jaurigui
President/CEO
Phil Jaurigui is the President/CEO
of the world famous Rock & Roll Studio in Hollywood called, Swing
House, which has been in business for 12 years. He started the
company out of desperation -- pursuing the Rock & Roll dream was not
exactly lucrative. After being laid off from Capitol Records where he worked
in the copy room, he found a building in total disrepair with affordable
rent and learned to deal with the various miscreants who also called the
block home. Slowly the business grew from 1 room to 3, and now there are at
least 7 rooms in our "Rock & Roll
Gallery". Including 2 sound stages, 3 rehearsal rooms, 2
recording studios, Radio broadcasting booths for SIRIUS
Satellite Radio as well as a fully stocked rental and cartage department for
outside productions.
Phil has been in various bands throughout his life, which has given him
invaluable experience for a career in the music industry. As a guitarist, he
was in several "could have been" bands on various labels and
publishing companies. He also does live sound and has worked with some of
the world's biggest bands ( Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Audioslave, Eddie
Vedder, Shelby Lynne, James
Taylor and Concrete Blonde). He is
also the co-creator of "The Summer
Strummer" music festival in Santa Monica, CA which featured: The
Donnas, Kinky, John
Doe, Matthew Sweet and Susanna
Hoffs among many others. Phil is now looking for bands and artists to
produce that are energetic, focused and not afraid to break the mold. He has
produced 2 albums for the teenage punks Orange,
for Hell Cat/Epitaph. He also produced and
manages the Tender Box with his
co-conspirator, Warren Huart (The Thrills,
Hot Hot Heat, Howie Day) for their own imprint, Swing
House Quality Recordings.
