Astra Heights Grab iTunes ‘Single of the Week’, Hits KROQ Hard, Given A Day In Houston

Los Angeles fivesome Astra Heights has been gaining notoriety following the recent release of Good Problems. The first single from the album “The March” is this week’s iTunes Latino “Single of the Week”. The band, which doesn’t hide its Hispanic roots (“We don't sing in Spanish, no, but we are Hispanic, hell, not just Hispanic, we're Mexicans,” says frontman Mark Morales) has been filling up LA rock clubs and is quickly becoming a fave on hometown legendary rock station KROQ.

Not impressed yet? Fine. Did we mention that Houston, TX City Councilman Adrian Garcia recently declared December 8th, 2007 “Astra Heights Day”??? That’s right, the band was recently bestowed with the honor of having its own day in the US’s fourth most populated city. The band will return to Texas this March for SXSW.

THE TENDER BOX TAKES ON EVIL VILLIANS IN 2008

LOS ANGELES, January 2, 2008 – The Tender Box triumphantly conquered 2007, racking up victories throughout the year including 140,000 downloads as the iTunes Latino download of the week in January & a signing to Kobalt Music Publishing garnering synchs with Sony Films, VIP Mobile, & Billabong Surf wear with music off their debut album The Score. The group’s latest score is the theme song to the WB’s newest cartoon, Spectacular Spiderman, slatted to air March 8, 2008 with 26 episodes planned for the first season.

The Score is a prime example of musical synthesis, creating a veritable Brit Pop masterpiece with catchy choruses, broody dance beats, Latin rhythms and a special breed of South East LA angst that only The Tender Box could conjure. From Mister Sister, a dance cut that conjures up sentiments of Pulp and Suede to the Primal Scream-esque title track, The Tender Box have a sound destined for Brit pop enthusiasts and very sweaty dance clubs.
